Some big changes have been happening on UK-Disco recently. Here's
a summary of a few changes within the site.
UK-Disco partners with ThomsonLocal.com
I'm pleased to announce that UK-Disco has partnered with ThomsonLocal.com
and is now using data supplied from Thomson Directories to supplement
the results from our own database.
The Thomson listings are displayed separately to the UK-Disco entries
so as not to affect those members who've paid for their listing.
As an added benefit to paying members, their details are now included
on the first page of relevant Thomson listings.
To have your details appear within the Thomson listings, you need
to have signed-up for a PAID listing on UK-Disco. It doesn't matter
which paid membership level is chosen, all paying accounts are treated
equally within the Thomson listings.
All paying members receive a display box on the UK-Disco / Thomson
pages within their county and registered town. Please Note: This
is a value added service to ALL paying members. At this moment,
there are no plans to give enhanced or priority listings based on
individual membership levels.
Thomson directory results are available from all county and town
searches within the site. A few technical issues still exist for
certain localities, which are being resolved, but overall I am extremely
pleased with the results.
Changes to the enquiry forms
For those account holders who haven't chosen a membership level,
a new field has been added to the enquiry form, displayed on the
member details page. This field allows any potential client to 'make
public' their message, allowing other PAYING members of UK-Disco
to follow-up the enquiry.
PLEASE NOTE: The above change ONLY applies to account holders that
have NOT chosen a membership level. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum
members do not have this extra field included on their enquiry forms
and all messages will remain private.
SILVER account holders can now log-in to their account an see any
enquiries made within their county, GOLD account holders will see
all enquiries made in their region and PLATINUM account holders
will see all enquiries for the whole of the UK.
Messages remain visible for 3 days, after which they are automatically
removed.
The person who made the enquiry has the option to remove their
message at any time from the database.
Why have I implemented this?
Whilst UK-Disco remains free, I am committed to supporting those
members who support the site financially through their membership
payments. I therefore feel that it's only fair that my paying members
benefit the most.
Last month, UK-Disco received 18,051 visitors (over 580 visitors
/ day). With over 670 mobile disco companies listed, it is now the
largest and best known mobile disco directory on the web. All mobile
disco companies who've received business through UK-Disco are encouraged
to contribute to the success of the site and help make it even better.
Together, we are strong!
Platinum memberships sold out, Gold memberships now limited
I've now introduced a quota system that restricts the number of
premium advertising slots within the site. This means there are
currently no Platinum memberships available and in some regions,
Gold memberships are running low.
If you're considering upgrading your membership, please don't delay...
Once they've gone, they've gone!
